Thermowood is outstanding for its practical and aesthetical features. Special heat treatment is the cause. This ecological treatment has the effect of improving wood properties as the wood gains resistance known from the exotic wood such as Teak. Thermowood has significantly lower moisture absorptivity than the original raw material, its form and dimensions are stabile, and it is decay resistant. Thermowood may be exposed to weather conditions all year long. The typical brown color of Thermowood fades under the UV light impact (depending on its location).
